Yes, there are days when I say, "I need an ON/OFF switch to stop overthinking or worrying." I have learned to take small mini-getaways to catch my breath, enjoy a different scenery, use the massage gift card from one of my tribe sisterfriends, getaway from the office, go for a ride, visit a friend, go for a walk, dance to some great music like no one is watching, or simply do nothing. I give myself permission to exhale and lay my tissues and issues down at the altar.
What are you doing to "boostHER" your peace and well-being?
How are you adapting your plans, demands, time, and expectations not met?
Focus on the positive aspects of your life, no matter how small they may seem. Practice gratitude and optimism to foster resilience and maintain a hopeful outlook. Surround yourself with positivity and affirmations to keep your spirits high.
Instead of saying "I'm a failure," you can reframe your thoughts and focus on your strengths and growth opportunities. Here are some alternative expressions:
I'm facing challenges, but I'm determined to learn from them and improve.
I may have made mistakes, shame is not my name. I'm using them as opportunities for growth.
I haven't achieved my goals yet, but I'm working towards them step by step.
I'm experiencing setbacks, but I know that failure is a part of the learning process.
I'm still figuring things out, but I believe in my ability to succeed in the long run.
I've had some disappointments, but I won't let them define my worth or potential.
I may not have reached my desired outcomes, but I'm committed to keeping the main thing...the MAIN THING.
I'm not where I want to be, but I'm making progress and that's what matters.
I may have encountered obstacles, but I won't let them deter me from my aspirations. I will not allow the hard days to win.
I'm going through a rough patch, but I have the resilience to overcome it.
By using a "growth language" and NOT a "struggle language" you recognize that setbacks and challenges are a natural part of life and growth. Emphasizing your determination, resilience, and willingness to learn from experiences can help you cultivate a more positive and constructive mindset. You are not a beginner...you are a winner. Believe in your potential, focus on your growth, and celebrate your progress along the way.
Don't cheat yourself...treat yourself...
